Celebratory Nutella-Banana Toastie

On my Instagram page, I recently posted a #throwback to last summer, when I found a €5 sandwich toaster and decided to make the very most of it. Of course, toasted sandwiches are amazing, so I had many options, but to christen my toaster, I decided that my inaugural sandwich should incorporate two of my favourite things, Nutella and banana. The bread I used was a white sourdough, purchased at Dublin's renowned kosher hotspot, the Bretzel Bakery, but any sliced pan will do!

Would you just look at these little beauties?
Makes two Nutella-laden pieces of heaven, i.e. sandwiches

Ingredients:
1 small banana, sliced
1 teaspoon butter
2 tablespoons Nutella
4 slices of white sourdough bread

Method:
Preheat sandwich toaster.
Meanwhile, lightly butter all 4 slices of bread on one side.
Over the unbuttered side of each slice of bread, spread a layer of Nutella.
Evenly place sliced banana pieces over 2 of the 4 slices of bread. If there are leftover slices, eat them!
Place the bananaless slices of bread over the bananaful slices of bread, and place each sandwich on the toaster. Close the toaster and cook to desired level of toastiness. The butter helps the sandwich to toast faster, and keeps the bread from becoming too dry.
Devour with caution: the Nutella and banana can get very hot!
